Josh Nicholls suffers concussion but nets 2 goals!

On Wednesday night (Oct 7th,2010) Josh Nicholls found himself on the bad end of a dirty hit. What ended in a concussion for Nicholls began as a two goal night for the B.C. native. He expects to be back in action in a week when they travel to play Red Deer. Luckily, other than a minor concussion, Nicholls didn't suffer an injury that will harm his already stellar start to the season. In 6 games Josh Nicholls has 10 points (5 goals and 5 assists). Keep an eye out for this 18-year-old to keep tearing up the WHL this year!

Greg Mckegg off to a good start!

After having a brief stint with the Maple Leafs in the Pre-Season, Greg Mckegg was than sent back down to his OHL club, the Erie Otters, in which he is the captain. It seems the young stud has gained some confidence after playing with the big club in the Pre-Season. With 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) Mckegg has been named the OHL player of the week for the week Sept 27 to Oct 3. He notched two shorties in one game which was a new record for the Erie Otters for most short handed goals in a game. This is the start of a good season for the 18-year-old and hopefully we continue to see his point totals grow as the season progresses.
